I really loved this book, Scott and Kip, UGH my heart they’re such a cute couple. A great meet-cute (Kip working at a smoothie shop, Scott is a customer), forbidden/secret romance, yearning, lingering looks — it was great. This book is very VERY spicy. I was genuinely shocked by the spice within the first few chapters, just jumping into all of it. I was kind of surprised that some scenes in the book were published, ha! I would have given this 5/5 stars, but Scott’s lack of attention to Kip just made me sad. I understand that this sort of relationship was not the norm for a famous hockey player, and there were special circumstances, but it did not sit well with me — it kind of felt like Scott was just hoping Kip would be okay with the secrecy all the time. Readers really feel for Kip, and I felt stuck in a sad state for a big chunk of the book. I needed something exciting here and there. I would have liked more Scott POV. However, other than that, I really liked the dynamic of Scott and Kip. And Scott finally taking the leap and coming out in much an exciting, public way was FANTASTIC.
+ I loved every mention of Ilya Rozanov in this book, if you know, you know.
