Picking Daisies on Sundays (Liana Cincotti)

Rating: 5 out of 5.

To be close to you was to be haunted by what I couldn’t have and to be reminded of how much I truly wanted you.

😭💖

This book was BEAUTIFUL, cheers to another great romance read! This one is going on my favorite reads shelf (imaginary shelf, of course, maybe I should make a trophy room of my favorite reads of all time lol).

Daniella “Daisy,” is in her last year of college, applying to a graduate fashion program when she bumps into Levi, her childhood best friend and greatest heartbreak, while at a bar with her friends. Their high school friendship dissipated when Daisy’s feelings for Levi became more than platonic, and Levi didn’t “take it well.”

After not seeing each other for four years, Levi openly declares Daisy as his girlfriend to avoid the awkwardness of an encounter of an ex-girlfriend at the bar they’re at. Unfortunately, his ex-girlfriend is a part of the wedding party of Levi’s younger sister, Sarah, so Levi and Daisy have to convince not only Bella, but Levi’s family that their relationship is, in fact, real. Daisy goes along with it, but her anxieties and insecurities of past and present feelings build up, causing her to question how much longer she can keep this act up before he breaks her heart again.

Will they only ever be just friends?

Loved loved loved this book! It was very romcom-like and I enjoyed every second of it! And the plot twist at the end was fantastic, I really enjoyed getting to know Daisy and Levi as friends, fake partners (and lovers). It was cozy, relatable, fun, exhilarating.

Highly highly recommend!
